Position Description

The Affinity Selections Team is seeking a co-op interested in using DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology to accelerate early drug discovery. The co-op will learn how to apply a suite of complementary, modern capabilities to problem solve in support of our small molecule pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Use biochemical and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques to develop new DEL selection methodologies.
  • Screen proteins of interest for small molecule binders using DEL technology.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to gain insight into DEL technology and early drug discovery processes.
  • Learn industry-standard laboratory practices, including rigorous experimental documentation.
  • Develop strong communication skills by presenting findings in oral and written formats to the department.
  • Potential pathway to co-authorship on scientific publications and presentations.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with excellent academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi-functional environment.
