Job Duties
- Creates an environment in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings that facilitates student learning and achievement of desired knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
- Assists students to develop as nurses and integrate the values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill that role.
- Implements effective clinical and assessment evaluation strategies appropriate to the learning outcomes of the course.
- Applies clinical expertise in the health care environment.
- Operationalizes the curriculum in order to prepare graduates to function effectively in the health care environment.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication and collaborative inter-professional relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Master's Degree in Nursing (or actively enrolled) in ACEN/NLNAC or CCNE accredited program
- 3 years teaching in a classroom or clinical setting
- Demonstrates integrity, stability, imagination, and discriminative judgment in instruction of nursing students
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrates interest and respect for students
- Demonstrates commitment to life-long learning
- Demonstrates respect, collegiality, professionalism, and caring in relations with administration, staff, colleagues, and students
- Knowledge of FERPA
