Guides prospective patients through the admissions process with compassion, professionalism, and efficiency. Handles inbound calls, outbound calls, and digital inquiries, conducts initial screenings, verifies insurance benefits, and coordinates intake logistics to ensure timely and appropriate placements. Handles basic admissions and inquiry calls using scripts and call flows.
Job description
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer inbound and digital inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Collect initial caller information and determine appropriate next steps.
- Identify callers that meet the admission criteria for the program and help patients identify an appropriate level of care.
- Facilitate the admission process into the program if the caller meets admission criteria.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
- Provide callers that do not meet the admission criteria alternate treatment options based on their required level of care.
- Communicate with patients and their families, providing information about the facilities and the policies of the Company.
- Escalate complex calls for support.
- Follow scripting and call flow guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- College coursework or Addictions Certification desired.
- 1 year of customer service or call center experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of behavioral health terminology preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emotional or distressed callers with empathy.
- Previous experience with admissions, chemical dependency, eating disorders and/or behavioral health preferred.
