This role will be a core member of the internal website engineering team and will work across Labcorp.com to deliver secure, scalable, accessible, and high-performing digital experiences.

Job description

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible. Regular collaboration with teams in India and the United States is required. The role may occasionally support production releases or critical incidents outside standard local business hours.

Responsibilities

  • AEM Development: Design, develop, configure, and maintain AEM components, templates, Sling Models, OSGi services, workflows, schedulers, servlets, content fragments, experience fragments, and authoring capabilities.
  • Reusable Platform Capabilities: Create modular, configurable solutions using AEM Core Components and established design-system patterns to increase reuse across business areas and reduce one-off development. Customize and extend the AEM platform using Java, HTL/Sightly, and other relevant technologies to meet specific project needs.
  • Business & Stakeholder Partnership: Partner closely with US-based product, marketing, content, analytics, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical consultation, clarify feasibility, define implementation approaches, and ensure successful delivery of website capabilities and enhancements.
  • Integration Delivery: Build and support integrations between AEM and APIs, DAM, analytics, personalization, CRM, search, identity, consent, and other enterprise services.
  • Quality Engineering: Write unit and integration tests, participate in peer code reviews, remediate defects, and follow secure coding, accessibility, performance, and coding standards.
  • Performance & Reliability: Optimize website performance and ensure efficient content delivery through caching, indexing, page rendering and other AEM optimization techniques. Support monitoring and root-cause analysis.
  • Release Support: Contribute to estimates, sprint commitments, deployment plans, release validation, rollback readiness, and post-production verification during approved deployment windows.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues across author, publish, Dispatcher, application, and integration layers in partnership with operations, QA, and IT teams. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Documentation & Transition: Create and maintain technical specifications, runbooks, solution diagrams, test evidence, and knowledge articles; actively participate in agency knowledge transfer and reverse-shadow activities. Document technical specifications, system architecture, and deployment processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
  • Agency & Partner Collaboration: Work closely with external agencies, implementation partners, and third-party vendors to review solutions, coordinate delivery activities, align development standards, resolve technical issues, and ensure the quality and consistency of platform implementations.
  • Agile Collaboration: Partner with product, UX/UI, content, front-end, API, QA, analytics, and platform teams throughout discovery, refinement, development, testing, and release.
