Summary

Reporting to a Director, GVAP Hematology, the person in this role drives the global value, access, pricing, and reimbursement launch-readiness for an assigned asset — initially in one or more of its early indications, and later potential future pipeline indications — across geographies. The Associate Director translates pivotal evidence and the competitive landscape into a differentiated global access and pricing tactics as well as country-ready toolkits that enable local affiliates to secure timely reimbursement and optimal patient access at launch and across the lifecycle.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and help lead the global market access and reimbursement strategy across lead and potential future pipeline indication, aligned to pivotal evidence and relevant comparators.
  • Support development of inputs (GVAP perspective) that inform asset lifecycle planning, indication sequencing, and evidence prioritization to maximize long-term access, reimbursement, and portfolio value.
  • Translate regional and affiliate payer insights into actionable recommendations for clinical development, evidence generation, pricing, access strategy, and commercialization planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate access and payer requirements into the development process — influencing trial design, endpoints, and evidence generation to meet payer needs.
  • Build country-ready access toolkits in close partnership with HEOR — global value dossiers, budget-impact and cost-effectiveness frameworks, and payer communication materials aligned to pivotal evidence and comparators.
  • Support EU Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) strategy and dossier development in close collaboration with HEOR, GVAP JCA coordinators, and the wider cross-functional team.
  • Track access milestones, evidence needs, and deliverables against the launch plan; flag risks and dependencies to the Director.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for regional and affiliate teams on access and pricing deliverables — fulfilling requests, sharing materials, and training teams on the toolkits.
  • Coordinate and align deliverables across Pricing, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Commercial, and Clinical Development.
  • Feed affiliate and payer insights back to the Director to inform strategy and evidence decisions.
  • Monitor the competitive, pricing, HTA, and policy landscape (including BTK-class dynamics and EU HTA / JCA developments), translating changes into actionable updates to strategy and toolkits.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health economics, pharmacy, health policy, business, or a related field; advanced degree (MSc, MPH, PharmD, PhD, or MBA) strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of biopharmaceutical experience, with a substantial portion in global / region / country value, access, pricing, and reimbursement roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HTA processes and payer systems across key markets (e.g., G-BA / IQWiG, NICE, HAS) and the US payer environment (IRA / MFN awareness a plus).
  • Experience building global value dossiers, HTA / EU HTA JCA submission content, and payer value evidence in partnership with HEOR.
  • Working knowledge of global or major-market pricing strategy, IRP / reference-pricing management, and price / revenue scenario modelling for specialty or oncology / hematology products.
  • Strong understanding of pivotal-trial evidence interpretation and comparator / competitive assessment in oncology or hematology.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives and to influence without direct authority in a matrixed, global organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-country, regional, or affiliate market access, pricing, reimbursement, or HTA experience, with direct exposure to payer decision-making and reimbursement processes.
  • Launch experience in oncology / hematology, ideally including EU JCA launches.
  • HEOR fluency (budget-impact and cost-effectiveness modelling) sufficient to partner effectively and quality-check deliverables.
