Summary
Harris Hill Nursing Facility is looking to add a Beautician to its team. In this role, you'll provide hair care and salon services that help residents look and feel their best while creating a positive and enjoyable experience.
Job description
Responsibilities
- Provide hair care services including shampooing, styling, cutting, permanents, color rinses, and tints based on resident preferences
- Maintain daily service records and submit required documentation to the business office
- Ensure the beauty shop remains clean, organized, attractive, and compliant with safety standards
- Properly clean, disinfect, and maintain salon equipment and supplies
- Safely store chemicals and beauty supplies in designated secured areas
- Assist with transporting residents to and from the beauty shop as needed
- Communicate with residents and families regarding beauty shop services
- Collaborate with staff to support resident satisfaction and overall well-being
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma
- Valid NYS Cosmetology License required
- 6 months of hairdressing experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to resident dignity, confidentiality, and quality service
