Our AI-native platform helps sponsors design smarter studies, move faster, and bring treatments to patients sooner. Our portfolio includes Study Designer, AI Authoring, Study Document Assistant, Digitizer, and Carbon Reporting.
The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to open doors and build pipeline with life sciences organizations. This is a hands-on, high-activity role. You will spend your days researching accounts, getting in touch with the right collaborators, running discovery conversations, and moving qualified opportunities forward, working closely with our sales, product, and marketing teams.
You will be selling a considered purchase to sophisticated buyers. Deals take time, involve multiple interested parties, and require patience, persistence, and credibility. We are looking for someone who enjoys that challenge.
What You’ll Do
- Own outbound prospecting into pharma, biotech, and CRO accounts through email, phone, LinkedIn, and event follow-up
- Research target accounts and map buying groups across Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Data and Digital, and Regulatory
- Run discovery calls to uncover needs, qualify opportunities, and book meetings for senior sales leaders and solution experts
- Manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities from first touch through handoff or close, keeping every account moving between achievements
- Follow up on inbound leads, webinar and conference attendees, and marketing campaigns quickly and thoughtfully
- Keep Salesforce accurate and current, including activity logging, opportunity stages, next steps, and forecasting inputs
- Partner with Marketing to refine messaging, sequences, and target account lists based on what you hear in the market
- Share customer and competitive insights with Product and Sales leadership
- Represent Evinova at industry events and virtual forums as needed
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5+ years of experience
- Demonstrated experience with business development, inside sales, or sales development experience in clinical development, life sciences technology, a CRO, or a closely related industry
- Working knowledge of the clinical trial lifecycle and how sponsors make technology and vendor decisions
- Hands-on Salesforce experience, with strong CRM field and comfort working from pipeline reports and dashboards
- Proven prospecting skills, including multi-channel outreach, personalization at scale, objection handling, and consistent follow-up
- Experience selling into complex, long sales cycles (typically 6 to 18 months) with multiple collaborators and formal evaluation processes
- Clear, confident communication, written and verbal, with the ability to engage senior and technical audiences
- Self-motivation, curiosity, and the resilience to stay engaged across long cycles
How We’ll Measure Success
- Qualified meetings and opportunities generated
- Pipeline created and progressed
- Account coverage and customer penetration
- CRM hygiene and forecast accuracy
- Quality of handoffs to Sales
Why Evinova
You will join a growing company with deep pharma expertise, a differentiated product suite, and a clear mission to change how clinical trials get designed and run. You will work alongside experienced clinical, product, and commercial colleagues, with room to grow as the business scales.
This role is approved for remote working. The remote designation reflects the global nature of the customer portfolio and the expectation that meaningful, high-quality in-person engagement with customers is a core part of how this role operates, not an occasional addition to it.
