Cathode Assembly Tech

Summary

Perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies in a cleanroom environment. Determine and follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding, and fitting on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble/process product, parts and assemblies using hand tools, customized tooling, and/or semi-automated equipment.
• Follow written process/assembly documentation.
• Inspect and test parts, assemblies and product using precision measuring and testing equipment.
• Adjust process within defined ranges based on measured results.
• Adhere to all safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Assist in maintaining efficient material flow through the work area.
• Actively participate on work area teams.
• Gain a basic understanding of material logistics.
• Participate in training to gain a basic understanding of business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions in the prevailing language spoken in the facility.
• Able to work with a trainer under close leadership.
• Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Normally receives detailed instructions on work. Works under close supervision.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0+ years of experience.
• Familiar with business tools such as E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
• Medium work that will occasionally require employee to lift/move up to 15 lbs.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move heavy equipment and/or supplies.
• Occasionally reach above and below the shoulder.
• Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to occasionally hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
• Work environment will include frequent exposure to chemicals.
