Job description
Duties, Responsibilities and Skills
- Collect on delinquent accounts utilizing CONMED's standard collection procedures and follow up processes.
- Prioritize accounts to effectively reduce past dues of assigned portfolio.
- Use interpersonal communication skills to determine issues and barriers for payment.
- Communicate effectively and clearly via telephone and email with CONMED customers and employees.
- Resolve customer disputes by researching, collaborating, and completing necessary documentation.
- Escalate all accounts not responding to collection efforts to management for further review.
- Process customer payments.
- Maintain diligent account notes for each assigned account.
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs to assist in analyzing data and document creation for collection activities.
- Manage team mailboxes.
- Learn new systems and become proficient in them.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of Collections/Accounts Receivable experience
Preferred Experience
- Associates Degree or higher in Business Administration
- 3-5 years of Collections experience
- Experience in Oracle, ManMan, GetPaid systems
- Proficient in Excel
