Summary

Winning a major health system takes more than a great product. It takes someone who can drive the contract, the committee, and the clock. As our first Director of Strategic Partnerships, you'll take the foundation we've started and build it into an enterprise engine that puts our AI-enabled cardiovascular imaging in the hands of thousands of clinicians. You'll set the strategy for our largest accounts and partnerships, from integrated delivery networks and group purchasing organizations to physician practices and leading imaging and health IT vendors. You'll carry deals from first conversation through launch, coaching customers' executive, clinical, and purchasing teams through complex SaMD buying cycles. Your deep medical imaging sales and contracting expertise, and your drive to figure out how to get the deal done, will shape where we play and how we win with Elucid.

Job description

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 12+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, alliances, or commercial roles, including 6+ years selling regulated healthcare technology (SaMD, FDA-regulated software, AI solutions) in medical imaging or health IT.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the imaging and healthtech ecosystem: who the key players are, how they sell and partner, and how health systems, imaging centers, and radiology groups make buying decisions.
  • A track record of originating, negotiating, and closing complex enterprise and multi-party deals (strategic customer, reseller, OEM/integration, referral, or co-sell) with large health systems, IDNs, GPOs, and physician practices.
  • Commercial and financial acumen (deal modeling, partner economics, negotiation) with the executive presence and persistence to get C-suite leaders to the table and carry a deal through every stakeholder.
  • Experience carrying partnerships from signed agreement through technical integration and launch, working credibly with product and engineering teams.
  • Startup experience, comfort operating through ambiguity and building enterprise sales starting as a team of 1.

Work Location:

  • This is a remote, field-based role. Up to 50% travel may be required for customer meetings, industry events, and team collaboration.

Company overview

Elucid is a Boston-based medical technology company founded in 2013 that specializes in developing AI-powered imaging analysis software for cardiovascular disease assessment. The company's flagship product, PlaqueIQ, is the only FDA-cleared computed tomography angiography (CTA) algorithm that objectively quantifies plaque morphology validated against tens of thousands of tissue annotations by renowned pathologists. Elucid's technology brings precision patient care from oncology to cardiology by providing physicians with critical information for assessing the risk of plaque rupture in arteries that can lead to heart attack and stroke. The company's software is designed to understand the root cause of cardiovascular disease deeply, offering objective and quantitative assessment of arterial plaque validated by histology. Elucid has raised over $150 million in funding and is pursuing an indication for FFRCT (fractional flow reserve derived from CT), uniquely derived from its PlaqueIQ technology, to measure coronary blockages non-invasively. The company's solutions are available for commercial use in the U.S., UK, EU, and South Korea, and recently gained broad CMS reimbursement for coronary plaque analysis using PlaqueIQ.
