Job description
Visionix USA is looking for a Field Service Representative to support advanced medical and ophthalmic equipment throughout New Jersey, New York, New England, and occasionally other areas of the United States.
What you'll do
- Install, repair and maintain sophisticated equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
- Provide on-site technical support to customers
- Manage parts and trunk inventory
- Complete service documentation and RMAs
- Travel throughout New Jersey & New York and New England and occasionally nationwide
- Support and mentor other technicians as you gain experience
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years of field service experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on biomedical equipment experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing, maintaining, or repairing medical devices
Related Experience That Can Be Valuable
- Industrial equipment service and repair
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Military technical or equipment maintenance experience
- Technical support and customer-facing service roles
No Ophthalmic Experience? We'll Train You!
You don't need to be an expert in eye care technology to get started. We'll provide training on Visionix products and equipment. What matters most is your ability to diagnose problems, think critically, learn quickly, communicate effectively with customers, and work independently in a field-based environment.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of field service experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on biomedical equipment experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing, maintaining, or repairing medical devices
- Ability to travel 90%+ throughout New Jersey, New York, and New England
- Must reside in New Jersey
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to diagnose problems and think critically
- Effective customer communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
