Summary
The House Supervisor (RN) is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and performance improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff.
Job description
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for oversight supervision of the nursing staff, patients, and patient care during their shift. The Nurse Supervisor will work closely with the Intake and Admissions Department regarding patient admissions, discharges, and transfers during their shift. The Nurse Supervisor may also function as a unit/floor nurse in accordance with staffing protocol needs (as applicable).
Qualifications
- Supervisor experience and/or Charge nurse experience REQUIRED
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility. HIGHLY preferred.
- Licensure: Current license to practice nursing in Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew)
