The Housekeeping employee is responsible for maintaining assigned areas clean, safe, and organized while following company sanitation and safety standards. This role supports daily cleaning operations and ensures a clean and professional environment throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas according to established schedules and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces.
- Properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and company policies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs to management.
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special assignments as needed.
- Ensure cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment are organized and stored properly.
- Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and operational needs.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment.
- Perform additional cleaning, sanitation, organization, and support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safe cleaning practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours per shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials and/or equipment as needed.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, hospitality, long-term care, or commercial cleaning environments is a plus.
