Schedule: D-Shift rotating 12-hour shifts 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM every other weekend off
Job description
Join BD's manufacturing team as a Mold Set-Up Technician and play a key role in keeping our injection molding operations running safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for setting up molds and equipment, monitoring production processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality products are produced on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Set up molds, injection molding machines, and auxiliary equipment
- Monitor production processes and make machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform first article, last article, and in-process quality inspections
- Troubleshoot molding defects and support corrective actions
- Complete production paperwork and process documentation
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs
- Support mold changes, mold maintenance, and process improvements
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, tooling, material handling, and production teams
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
- Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 2-5 years of molding and/or manufacturing experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, smock, hair covering, and safety toe shoes
