UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Waterloo, IA.
- Experienced team of 1 MD and 4 APPs
- Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical
- Flexible scheduling; 4 day work week
- 24/7 open unit
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- 21 bed inpatient unit with 3 providers on each shift
- 8-12 patients per shift
- Adult only unit (ages 17 and up)
- Call schedule requirement
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Provide the best outcome for every patient every time
Qualifications
- PMHNP certification is preferred unless applicant has prior inpatient mental health experience as FNP
- Strong preference for candidates with inpatient mental health experience as RN or NP
- Hold an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States
Requirements
