Job description

The ideal candidate is an experienced IT professional who excels at solving technical problems, working directly with users, and taking end-to-end ownership of issues. This role extends beyond traditional help desk duties to include endpoint administration, cloud productivity suite support, network maintenance, cybersecurity monitoring, and active participation in our federal and industry compliance programs.

What You'll Do

Endpoint & User Support

  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support primarily for Windows systems, alongside foundational support for Linux environments.

  • Support cloud productivity tools, user account lifecycles, authentication, and access controls.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset management records, and standard operating procedures.

Identity & Network Infrastructure

  • Assist with directory services, central identity management, and group policy administration.
  • Support enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM), Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), and unified endpoint management platforms.
  • Troubleshoot local network infrastructure, including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, and firewalls.
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects, network deployments, office moves, and technology upgrades.

Security & Compliance

  • Assist with endpoint hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and baseline security configurations.
  • Support enterprise Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Administer phishing-resistant Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) technologies and hardware security keys.
  • Assist with federal and industry cybersecurity compliance programs (e.g., NIST SP 800-171, CMMC) and evidence collection.
  • Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and general business teams to ensure secure, compliant operational workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal industry certifications are not required. Relevant certifications and demonstrated technical knowledge will be evaluated as part of your overall qualifications and reflected in total compensation.
  • Experience administering enterprise cloud productivity and identity management platforms.
  • Hands-on exposure to Linux administration and endpoint support.
  • Familiarity with enterprise EDR and SIEM security logging solutions.
  • Experience maintaining network switches, firewalls, and wireless access infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance frameworks (such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or DFARS) and handling standards for sensitive data.
  • Practical knowledge of phishing-resistant MFA tokens and modern hardware security keys.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience and demonstrated capabilities will be fully considered.
  • 3+ years of professional IT support or systems administration experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong Windows OS troubleshooting and administration capabilities.
  • Practical experience supporting Directory Services (Active Directory) and Group Policy.
  • Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless protocols).
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint management, deployment tools, or RMM platforms.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and customer-service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
