Summary

The Lead Analyst, Data Product owns business partner relationships and assigned MedTech Supply Chain data products throughout their lifecycle. The role translates business needs into useful, governed data models that enable measurable outcomes. We develop trusted, reusable data products built around real business needs. In this role, you will help prioritize demand, guide lifecycle readiness, and ensure data products are reliable, consumed, and delivering business value.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

You will partner with supply chain partner teams to understand the problems, business decisions, operational workflows, and use cases that data products need to support. Through workshops and interviews, you will turn business opportunities into clear product scope, requirements, success measures, and acceptance criteria. You will own assigned data products across their end-to-end lifecycle, from discovery and definition through delivery, marketplace publication, adoption, and continuous improvement. This includes owning product roadmaps and backlogs while ensuring products have the business context, metadata, governance, and readiness needed for successful use.

  • Lead discovery and prioritization of business problems, use cases, decisions, workflows, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate prioritized use cases into actionable product direction, defining what the product will deliver, how success will be measured, required data sources, consumers, ownership, and key dependencies.
  • Lead domain-aligned data product squads, connecting business partners with governance, architecture, engineering, platform, and delivery teams to set priorities, make decisions, and advance products through their lifecycle.
  • Build trusted and governed data products by establishing business definitions, ownership, metadata, data-quality requirements, semantic standards, and reusable data models.
  • Prepare and launch products for consumption, including certification, marketplace publication, documentation, support models, service-level agreements, and consumer onboarding.
  • Drive ongoing product performance and improvement by measuring adoption, quality, performance, feedback, and business value. Use these insights to prioritize improvements, address risks, and communicate outcomes.
  • Help resolve delivery issues and surface dependencies, funding needs, policy questions, and cross-product decisions requiring broader alignment.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree and/or University degree is required. Successful candidates will bring experience in data product management, product management, business analysis, data and analytics delivery, or a related field. Experience leading multifaceted data or analytics initiatives from discovery through delivery is highly valued. You should be comfortable working directly with business domain partners to uncover opportunities, challenge assumptions, identify ambiguity, and translate business problems into clear requirements. The role requires good communication skills and an ability to bring business and technical specialists together across organizational boundaries.

Knowledge or experience in the following areas is valuable: data requirements, source systems, data modeling, integration, governance, data quality, and data consumption; enterprise data platforms, data marketplaces, metadata, lineage, business glossaries, stewardship, and data-quality practices; data governance platforms such as Alation; supply chain domains such as planning, sourcing and procurement, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or order fulfillment; MedTech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated industry. Experience working with globally distributed teams, including European or nearshore partners, is preferred.

The role may require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel based on business needs. The role is required to be fully onsite in accordance with the applicable attendance policy.
