  • Supporting relevant early development asset teams, licensing, and other business development activities.

2. Integrated Leadership & Decision making (Driving Cross-Functional Success)

  • Driving alignment and integrated decision-making with the Global Development Team, Global Technical Team and Commercial Leadership Team to realize the potential of the asset(s), within the context of the asset, disease area and therapeutic area strategies.

  • Serving as an inspiring leader, aligning people towards a vision while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and trust.
  • Serving as a thought partner and sounding board for the GPS and cross organisation teams and relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that franchise and enterprise goals are met.

3. Lifecycle Value & Execution (Maximizing Value and Delivery)

  • Accountable for the resource ask, appropriate utilization, and the delivery of the aNPV (Adjusted Net Present Value) to the Late Stage Portfolio Committee (LSPC).
  • Lifecycle excellence: Continually assess and evolve the asset strategy, in the context of external dynamics, new opportunities and DA strategy, by evaluating and triggering different value levers to maximise the asset's potential.
  • This includes the integrated leadership to propose and deliver indications, formulations, devices, diagnostics and digital tools, along with the evidence generation strategy, to address the appropriate treatable population in collaboration with the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT), Global Development Team (GDT), Global Technical Team (TDT) and others.

Who You Are

You should have exceptional strategic orientation and agility, with an outstanding ability to develop a long-term vision and a deep understanding of the global pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry to create robust and innovative business strategies.
  • Synthesis & Strategic Ambiguity: Exceptional ability to synthesize and summarize key strategic concepts within ambiguity to deliver on key milestones, product targets, and maximum lifecycle value for patients, society, and the company.
  • End-to-End & Portfolio Collaboration: Strong leadership skills and strategic agility with a proven ability to collaborate seamlessly End-to-End (E2E) across early to late stage development, as well as cross-functionally within the Ophthalmology portfolio and broader enterprise to drive shared disease area goals.
