Job description
What will you be doing?
- Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment including milling, turning, grinding, drilling, tapping, honing, and EDM machinery
- Manufacture precision medical components from raw materials while meeting quality, safety, and production requirements
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously and perform in process inspections using a variety of measuring and inspection equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, establish tool offsets and cutter compensation, and identify and replace worn tooling
- Troubleshoot production and development issues and support process improvements
- Partner with engineers and toolmakers on fixture design, cutting tool design, process development, and part design enhancements
- Provide guidance, training, and support to less experienced team members
- Complete manufacturing documentation and comply with FDA, QSR, company policies, and applicable quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including preventive maintenance activities
What will you need to be successful?
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus vocational training, certification, or equivalent machining experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM machines
- Ability to independently perform moderate machine setups and troubleshoot machining processes
- Experience reading blueprints and performing simple to complex inspections using precision measurement equipment, optical comparators, and microscopes
- Strong English communication and basic mathematics skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work first shift
