Summary
The Material Handler reports to the Materials Operations Manager and is responsible for safely performing job functions at the highest level of quality. This is an onsite role.
Job description
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Pick and stage material for shipment by interpreting work orders and sales order for material/delivery requirements.
- Receive inbound shipments; ship outbound material; all related/corresponding activities which includes managing and communicating with internal and external customers via email and by Microsoft Teams.
- Load and unload material from various carriers while using computers and scanners to perform transactions as well as other duties requested, as assigned.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' experience with Material Handling or warehouse environment.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and kneel
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Operating a Forklift
- Shipping and Receiving
- HazMat and SAP
