Job description
Responsibilities
- Assist residents and families with Medicaid applications and recertifications
- Review, verify, and submit required documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Monitor application statuses, eligibility requirements, and recertification deadlines
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the Medicaid process
- Communicate with county and state agencies to resolve issues and ensure timely processing
- Collaborate with admissions, finance, social work, and other departments to support resident needs
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in Medicaid, billing, finance, or healthcare administration preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Compassionate, resident-centered approach when working with residents and families
