Job description

Position

We are seeking a driven Sales Account Manager to grow our diagnostic-testing partnerships in North Denver and surrounding areas. This is a high-autonomy, field-based outside sales role responsible for managing client accounts and developing new business across the territory.

This role covers all three of our service lines in the territory:

  • Mobile medicine: house-call and mobile physician groups, home health agencies, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, hospice, and other providers serving homebound and geriatric patients
  • Toxicology: pain management practices, addiction medicine and substance use disorder treatment programs, behavioral health, and rehabilitation providers
  • Primary care and outpatient: family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB-GYN/women’s health, endocrinology, urology, dermatology, gastroenterology, allergy/immunology, rheumatology, outpatient cardiology, and other clinics that routinely use diagnostic testing

This is healthcare sales at its core: account management, territory development, prospecting, and face-to-face relationship building. Candidates may come from medical sales, diagnostic sales, pharmaceutical sales, or other professional B2B and field sales environments. Strong communication skills, confidence presenting to clinical teams, and the ability to independently manage a high-activity territory across multiple customer types are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy across North Denver and surrounding areas, prioritizing mobile medicine and toxicology accounts
  • Manage and grow client accounts through regular onsite visits and account reviews
  • Identify opportunities to expand testing services within existing accounts
  • Resolve service issues quickly and coordinate with internal teams to protect retention
  • Identify and pursue new business through structured prospecting, cold outreach, and consistent onsite visits
  • Conduct professional presentations with physicians, practice managers, NPs/PAs, MAs, directors of nursing, facility administrators, and clinic leadership
  • Adapt the sales approach to each setting: clinic-based ordering, mobile and in-home collection, and recurring toxicology monitoring programs
  • Manage the full sales cycle for new accounts, from initial outreach to contracting and onboarding
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships focused on education, service value, and retention
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, pipeline management, and forecasting
  • Understand clinic and facility workflows to identify where diagnostic services can support clinical and operational needs
  • Follow all company policies and healthcare regulations governing laboratory sales and referrals
  • Serve as a model for territory best practices and share what’s working with the broader sales effort
  • Contribute to refining the sales playbook as the Denver market develops
  • Monitor trends in outpatient, mobile, and addiction medicine and adjust strategies as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service delivery
  • Provide reliable follow-up and in-person support to maintain satisfaction and strengthen partnerships
  • Represent the company professionally within the Denver-area healthcare community
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of field sales, outside sales, or B2B sales experience
  • Proven ability to retain and grow existing accounts while self-sourcing leads and closing new business
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clinical and administrative stakeholders
  • Effective presentation, negotiation, and territory management abilities
  • Highly organized and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and mobile field tools
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout North Denver and surrounding areas
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into toxicology, pain management, or addiction treatment settings
  • Experience engaging home health, mobile physician groups, senior living, or post-acute care providers
  • Experience engaging outpatient clinics, physician offices, or healthcare organizations
  • Understanding of clinical workflows, ordering processes, or diagnostic services
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CLIA, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law)
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience mentoring, training, or supporting other sales reps
  • Interest in growing with the company as the territory and team expand
  • Professional sales certifications (e.g., CSP)
