Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Patient Treatment
- Implements treatment plan utilizing current theory and practice; works towards established goals; modifies goals and treatment plan as necessary and indicated.
- Documents treatment plan according to department policy and bills for services.
- Coordinates appropriate follow up post discharge from care.
Patient Assessment
- Performs functions related to patient evaluation/re-evaluation, goal setting, and discharge planning according to department policy and procedures.
- Documents findings according to department policy and bills for services. Ensures findings are shared with appropriate individuals and provides necessary follow up.
Education
- Provides a positive learning environment for observers, volunteers, students, and co-workers.
- Willingly accepts learners and ensures learning objectives are achieved. Provides learning opportunities for department staff on topics related to clinical specialty.
Productivity
- Meets departmental productivity standards.
- Takes initiative to insure that established productivity standard is met on an ongoing and regular basis.
- Takes an active role in servicing patients with immediate needs.
- Documents productivity in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Physical Therapy
- Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
- Georgia State Licensure Upon Hire Required
