What You'll Do
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Evaluates the needs of the patient and/or family and provides support, appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Collaborates, as needed, across disciplines to coordinate appropriate patient services. Effectively delegates to ancillary personnel. May precept nursing students or new hires.
- Executes the plan of care for the oncology patient including medication administration and symptom management. Communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Your Qualifications
- Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required
- Prior Oncology RN work experience and certification, preferred
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to operate and excel in a healthcare environment with many inherent stressors.
