Job description
What You Will Do
- Involvement with on-site safety committee activities, gaining exposure to lockout-tagout, machine guarding, assisting with on-site hazardous waste program
- Maintain/update injury prevention plan & workplace violence prevention plan
- Assist with overall environmental functions for the assigned facility and partners with onsite management and other resources to ensure local program ownership and accountability.
- Provide support of safety initiatives at a designated facility with guidance from local safety, health and environmental management/personnel. To include (but not limited to): Incident investigations and reporting, Safety audits, Process and/or procedure writing
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Enrolled in an Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Stewardship, Risk Control, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering related degree program.
- Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2029.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
