Summary
The Production Associate (Vaughn/Funace) is responsible for providing accurate paperwork and record keeping. A successful candidate must have the ability to use measuring and test equipment as required, follow all company rules and policies as well as OSHA/EPA regulations. This position reports to the supervisor, is part of the Fiber Web Department located in Deland, FL and will be an on-site role.
Job description
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Draw wire on machines designed for this process.
- Utilize procedures for specific die drafts to complete the correct diameter of wire.
- Anneal wire according to procedures.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent with 2 years of work experience.
- Ability to perform accurate record keeping and utilize basic math skills.
- Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers and micrometers) and test equipment.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to climb, stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum of 10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Working with micrometers for measuring.
- Working with environmental regulations.
- Working with steel microfibers in a heavy manufacturing environment.
