Production Supervisor - Casa Grande, AZ

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of production staff that meets customer demand schedule.
• Develop, manage, and routinely disseminate information via dashboards, presentations, and meetings to keep the cross functional workforce updated.
• Effectively manage continuous improvement activities that will progressively increase the effectiveness of the production operations.
• Develop a high-performance work team with high levels of worker morale, satisfaction, and performance.
• Provide next level troubleshooting support for issues not resolved by the frontline team and escalate to engineering or management when necessary.
• Manage and guide a team of operators to improve quality and increase productivity on the line; maintain a constant line presence and a safe work environment with 100% training and compliance.
• Coordinate activities related to shift starts and changes; lead and coordinate daily activities of the shift team.
• Manage personnel and processes to ensure production meets all associated quality standards.
• Promote team, department and site goals through team communications and direction.
• Actively participate in team and department projects including execution of assigned actions.
• Track, trend and report on established KPIs; communicate to functional manager and site leadership team.
• Follow escalation reporting process and make decisions appropriate for level of accountability.

You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
