Job description
Your Role
As a Psychiatric Technician, you will provide hands-on support in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting at the Bright Path Center, including 3.7 withdrawal management, crisis stabilization, and residential services.
- Monitor patient safety and provide continuous support
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Obtain vital signs, urine drug screens, and perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Observe and report changes in patient condition
- Support admissions, discharges, and unit orientation
- Participate in therapeutic activities and structured programming
- Use de-escalation techniques during behavioral crises
- Maintain a clean, safe, trauma-informed environment
- Document care accurately and timely
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of direct patient care experience or equivalent education/certifications
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodation
- Preferred: Phlebotomy Certification
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Preferred: Experience in crisis, detox, or acute psychiatric settings
- Preferred: Knowledge of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care
