Psychiatrist - Locum Tenen at McCallum Place Eating Disorder Center, St. Louis, MO. This role can be TELE-HEALTH.
Caseload: 12-20 patients per week on average. Schedule: PRN tele-health; as needed for vacation coverage. Patient Profile: Adolescents and Adults.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate psychiatric stability of patients and determine the necessary level of care
- Collaborating and oversight with Nurse Practitioners level of care for each patient
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and collaborate with onsite medical provider for recommendations
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIRED
- One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred
- Licensed in the state in which the practitioner will be working
- Eating disorder experience is preferred
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
