Summary
Directs and manages the care of patients in the Outpatient Endocrinology Testing department at LVH-Cedar Crest. Serves as a mentor and acts as a liaison to internal and external customers in regards to Endocrine Testing.
Job Duties
- Schedules, triages, coordinates, educates, and delivers direct patient care in the Endocrine Testing lab.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
- Documents phone notes, treatments, testing, and procedures performed at the time of service for all endocrine testing patients.
- Collaborates with inpatient pharmacy to ensure proper medications are available on testing days.
- Collaborates with lab to make sure proper turnaround times for lab tests are followed.
- Communicates with the DCC registration staff about special needs for endocrine patients, if necessary.
- Collaborates with the Medical Director in developing and managing clinical protocols and interpretations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
- 2 years of experience in nursing in a health setting
- Pediatric IV skills
- Problem solving skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
