Job description
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend. Required Call: Full Time nurses have 24 hours of required call per 6 weeks. Part Time does 12 hours. Experienced Nurse Orientation: Experienced Registered Nurses can expect an orientation period of 10 weeks on the unit.
The Sentara BelleHarbour Emergency Department, located in North Suffolk, Virginia, operates 24/7 and serves as a licensed extension of Sentara Obici Hospital. This state-of-the-art, free-standing facility features 22 treatment spaces. Including fast track rooms, 10 focused care, and 12 high acuity care. Nurses here are specially trained to care for both adult and pediatric patients, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for all ages. As part of the Sentara network, the BelleHarbour ED offers strong clinical leadership, advanced technology, and a collaborative, team-focused environment designed to support both patients and staff. The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Education
- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (Required)
- Masters of Science in Nursing - MSN (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- Professional Specialty Nursing Certification (Preferred).

- 18 months nursing experience (Required)
