Company overview

Elektrofi is a Boston-based biopharmaceutical formulation technology company founded in 2016 that is revolutionizing the delivery of biologic therapies. Its breakthrough hyper-concentration microparticle technology platform, Hypercon™, resolves the limitations associated with intravenously delivered biologic therapies by enabling convenient at-home subcutaneous self-administration. With a focus on monoclonal antibodies, therapeutic proteins, and other large-molecule drugs, Elektrofi creates, develops, and commercializes subcutaneous biologic therapies in collaboration with strategic partners. The company has raised approximately $154 million in funding, including an oversubscribed $112.25 million Series C round in 2024 to establish commercial-scale GMP manufacturing capacity and accelerate clinical development. Elektrofi has partnered with major pharmaceutical companies such as Vertex Pharmaceuticals and SCHOTT Pharma. In 2025, Halozyme Therapeutics announced an agreement to acquire Elektrofi, combining two subcutaneous drug delivery specialists. Elektrofi employs roughly 39 people and operates globally from its headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.
