Scientist, NGS - Viral Delivery Technologies
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals
Summary
At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Scientist to join our Viral Delivery Technologies group, supporting the development of a new screening platform for antibody-retargeted adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors. In this role, you will contribute to the design, characterization, and in vitro/in vivo validation of novel AAV vectors, expanding the company's gene therapy delivery portfolio while collaborating with cross-functional team members, analytical groups, and core facilities across Research and Discovery.
Job description
Discover your role:
- Design, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot in vitro and in vivo experiments to characterize and validate antibody-retargeted viral vector designs and screening protocols
- Apply molecular biology and protein analysis techniques, including cloning, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR, digital droplet PCR, and qPCR
- Design AAV genomes and execute recombinant AAV (rAAV) production protocols to inform novel vector optimizations
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation workflows for screening and characterization applications
- Partner with the bioinformatics team to analyze large NGS datasets
- Prepare regular updates and presentations for team and departmental forums
- Thrive in an innovative, highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Work rigorously with close attention to detail while balancing multiple projects
