Company overview
Nomic Bio is a pioneering biotechnology company specializing in next-generation proteomics technology, often described as doing for proteins what Illumina has done for DNA. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Nomic has developed the revolutionary nELISA platform that enables large-scale, quantitative, and cost-effective protein profiling. The company's mission is to make proteomics accessible, scalable, and routine for modern biology, empowering scientists to extend lives through advanced protein measurement technologies. Nomic's proprietary technology combines DNA nanotechnology with high-throughput bead-based multiplexing to deliver exquisite specificity at scale, enabling researchers to profile over 1,000 proteins simultaneously with absolute quantification. The company has raised over $63 million in funding, including a $42 million Series B round in 2024, and serves over 75 companies spanning top pharmaceutical firms, innovative biotechs, and prestigious research institutes. Nomic's platform has already been used to profile more than 400,000 samples and over 100 million proteins, accelerating drug discovery and biomarker development across therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, and neuroscience.
