Job Description
- Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
- Manages acute behavioral events utilizing appropriate techniques.
- Utilizes de-escalation techniques to protect safety of patients, staff and visitors.
- Responds to alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans according to policy and procedures.
- Actively participates in planned drills and simulations.
- Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.
- Coordinates with local law enforcement officials and EMS/firefighters to assist in providing safe atmosphere.
- Operates a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business.
Requirements
- Ability to perform proactive security monitoring and respond to alarms according to established policies
- Capable of operating a motor vehicle to conduct business
