Job description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic partner to the CCO

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the CCO, translating strategic priorities into a clear operating agenda.
  • Maintain an integrated view of priorities, decisions, commitments, risks, and organizational needs.
  • Anticipate issues, surface trade-offs, and help determine what requires CCO/CLT attention versus local decision-making.
  • Bring structure and sound judgment to ambiguous, high-stakes topics.

Lead the CLT operating rhythm

  • Design and continuously improve the CLT cadence, agendas, pre-reads, decision forums, action tracking, and follow-through.
  • Ensure leadership time is focused on the most important cross-functional, cross-geography, and enterprise topics.
  • Partner with topic owners to frame decisions clearly, including the recommendation, input required, decision owner, and desired outcome.
  • Capture decisions, actions, owners, and timing; ensure accountability through closure.
  • Strengthen alignment and collaboration across Commercialization leaders, regions, functions, and communities.

Drive strategic priorities and execution

  • Build and manage an integrated Commercialization strategic agenda across priorities, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and risks.
  • Lead or support high-priority, commercialization initiatives from problem definition through implementation.
  • Connect work across Commercial, Medical Affairs & Evidence Generation, Market Access, regions/countries, asset/indication teams and enterprise partners such as Development.
  • Identify duplication, unclear ownership, bottlenecks, and misalignment—and help resolve them quickly.

Build scalable digital and AI-enabled ways of working

  • Establish simple, effective systems for managing priorities, decisions, communications, and follow-through.
  • Apply digital tools, data, automation, and AI to improve synthesis, meeting preparation, knowledge flow, reporting, and organizational learning.
  • Champion adoption of approved digital and AI tools in ways that improve speed, clarity, quality, and productivity while maintaining appropriate governance.
  • Build capability in others and reduce reliance on manual, leader-dependent processes.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master or MBA) in business or health-related discipline
  • Significant experience in strategic operations, chief of staff, business operations, program leadership, commercial strategy, or top-tier consulting supporting senior executives
  • Proven track record leading complex cross-functional strategic projects end-to-end, leading without authority in a complex, fast-growing, network of empowered teams organization.
  • Ideally at least 5 years of Project Management experience in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercialization in biotech, pharma, rare disease, immunology, specialty care, or similarly complex healthcare environments - ideally across multiple parts of the value chain (Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D).
  • Deep understanding of the US market with at least 10 years of Biopharma commercialization experience, preferred.
  • Strong business understanding and prioritization judgment - able to tell what truly needs CCO/CLT attention and what should be decided closer to the work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to shape executive-ready narratives, pre-reads, Board materials, and leadership communications.
  • Strong facilitation and meeting-design skills, with a track record of making senior leaders’ time more productive and driving discussions to clear actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operating rhythm, leadership agendas, decision forums, and follow-through mechanisms.
  • Strong organizational navigation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence without relying on hierarchy.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential, sensitive, and high-stakes information with discretion.
