About the role
Lead U.S. HCP marketing for Sanofi flu vaccines portfolio (Fluzone, Fluzone High-Dose, Flublok) positioning each product within the broader U.S. vaccines portfolio. This is not a single-product role: you will navigate a complex, competitive and evolving market, where portfolio positioning drives revenue. You will manage a team of marketers, ranging from Associate Director to Product Manager, orchestrate agencies/third parties, and serve as a central leader across workstreams. Reports to the U.S. Head of Flu franchise.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales force execution: Primary liaison to four distinct sales teams, set field engagement model, content sequencing, field/NPP orchestration, and KPIs; deliver field-ready tools and trainings; drive account-level activation across two distinct moments, pre-book execution and in-season activation, each with its own call to action and tactics (e.g., EHR/health-maintenance prompts during flu season).
- Own NPP & omnichannel: Lead media planning, channel mix, creative, measurement, optimization, and precision engagement strategies; build full-funnel KPIs; run weekly performance governance; reallocate spend dynamically by region/segment; deploy precision marketing approaches to maximize reach and engagement across customer segments beyond available field capacity.
- Brand & content leadership: Convert insights (ATU, VCR drop-off, EHR signals, field intel) into clear value propositions, personalized customer journeys, and disciplined messaging across pediatric and adult practices/health systems. Lead market research initiatives, informed by but separate from these insights.
- Agency/partner leadership: Manage a multi-agency ecosystem (no single agency of record) spanning creative, media, martech, analytics and data partners; direct each with tight briefs/SOWs/SLAs and understand how they intersect with strategy and tactics across all four sales teams. Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and measurable ROI.
- Cross-functional & global: Align Sales, Market Access, Medical/HEOR, Analytics, Supply, Training, Communications, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance; serve as U.S. point person with Global Marketing; integrate latest evidence into compliant storytelling.
- People leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team with a range of levels and skill sets; raise talent density; set clear OKRs; foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and P&L ownership.
- Performance & governance: Own targets, dashboards, and leadership presentations and readouts; manage advertising and promotion/NPP budgets; ensure RC/MLR readiness and full compliance. Accountable for meeting or exceeding brand and financial targets by fiscal and seasonal year-end, using analytics to identify leakage and deploying rapid corrective HCP interventions; partner with Sales/Medical/Value for maternal defense and infant immunization standardization.
- Dynamic OPEX allocation - geo-segmented prioritization; shift to lower-funnel levers (EHR, workflow, point of care); tie spend to measurable behavior change.
- Transform omnichannel - embed journeys, trigger personalized follow-ups, and optimize ecommerce platform VaccineShop; integrate personal + non-personal promotion as one orchestrated system.
- Strengthen franchise ownership & talent - clear governance; succession planning; capability building.
