Position Summary

Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards.

Scope of Responsibilities

Receives predetermined work assignments with incremental objectives and defined processes, subject to a moderate level of control and review.
Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines and procedures.
Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees and recommends changes to unit, sub-unit, or discipline policies.
Works on assignments of limited scope where problem solving requires the analysis of data and relevant factors.
Erroneous decisions may cause delay in accomplishing short-term/monthly goals.
Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups.
Interactions normally involve exchange or presentation of straightforward information.
Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees.
Assigns tasks, monitors work at frequent intervals, and maintains workflow of the team. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit.
Generally supervises semi-skilled employees (e.g., assemblers, operators, clerical).

Experience/Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, with 0-2 years of Supervisory experience.
