We're looking for a Summer Intern - Clinical Development on the Clinical Development Team to help us expand what's possible for patients with serious diseases.

The Insmed Summer Internship Program is designed to give you more than just a glimpse into the pharmaceutical industry—it's a chance to make a real impact. Over the course of the summer, you'll gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful team projects, and learn directly from skilled professionals who are invested in your growth.

Our 2027 Summer Intern program is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-week, paid internship. The internship may present opportunities for rotational assignments within the function, and the intern will be assigned goals and objectives that will support the strategic business plan of the company.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support the Clinical Development team in the planning, execution, and oversight of clinical development activities across the studies.

  • Review & Monitor Clinical Data: Assist with routine review of patient-level and aggregate trial data (demographics, medical history, labs, vitals, AEs/SAEs); identify trends, inconsistencies, or signals requiring escalation.
  • Data Reconciliation & Study Tracking: Collaborate with Clinical Operations and Data Management on data issue resolution and periodic tracking of enrollment, discontinuations, protocol deviations, and safety events.
  • Medical Monitoring Meeting Support: Compile data, prepare agendas, summaries, and presentation materials for monthly internal Medical Monitoring meetings; coordinate cross-functional updates and maintain documentation. Prepare post-meeting summaries with decisions and action items and ensure follow-up.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, and other stakeholders; develop understanding of how functions collaborate across the clinical trial lifecycle.
  • Benefit-Risk & Safety Exposure: Gain exposure to the relationship between clinical data review, safety surveillance, and overall benefit-risk assessment.
