Job Description
- Follows manufacturer's instructions for use and department procedures to achieve safe and effective cleaning and decontamination of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment.
- Collaborates with interdepartmental staff to prioritize and adjust workflow. Expedites processing to meet daily schedule and urgent surgery requirements for instrumentation.
- Locates, collects, and prepares instruments for pickup or delivery within designated area or package instrumentation for offsite delivery.
- Maintains equipment in accordance with organizational and regulatory protocols, policies, and standards.
