Company overview

HealthCorps is a national non-profit organization founded in 2003 and headquartered in New York City, dedicated to eliminating health inequity and improving lives by educating and empowering teenagers. The organization operates with the core belief that limited access to health education can lead to lifelong social, emotional, and physical challenges. HealthCorps' flagship program, "Teens Make Health Happen" (TMHH), provides school-based interventions focused on mental health, nutrition, and physical activity through hands-on, teen-relevant activities. The organization employs a unique model using college-age mentors to implement year-long programs in middle and high schools across the United States, reaching economically disadvantaged communities and underserved populations. With 51-200 employees and operating as a 501(c)(3) public charity, HealthCorps has demonstrated significant impact, with 87% of program participants showing improvement in at least one targeted health behavior. The organization also offers virtual programming through its "Any Teen, Anywhere" initiative, expanding its reach to provide educational materials and health-promoting resources nationwide. HealthCorps' mission centers on strengthening communities with innovative approaches to health and wellness, empowering the next generation to become change agents within their families, schools, and neighborhoods.
