Roxbury is currently hiring a Therapist to work every Thursday & Friday with patients on acute psychiatric units, working with both adults and adolescents.
Job description
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides clinical social work services on a designated unit consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
- Responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy in addition to psychoeducation group development.
- Attends treatment team meetings to ensure treatment plan aligns with patient assessed needs.
- Participates in the management of patient commitment status, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
- Completes timely chart documentation and progress notes.
- Is knowledgeable and assists in crisis management including assessment of the patient with revisions to the care plan as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or related Social Services field required. Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Licensure is not required, but preferred. Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
Requirements

- Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population
- Preferably inpatient setting experience
- Licensure preferred but not required
- Knowledge of case management and discharge planning preferred
- Group leadership skills preferred
- Knowledge of crisis and behavior management preferred
- Knowledge of family therapy theory and practice preferred
