Maintains overall cleanliness of the facility by performing general housekeeping duties. Disposes of trash, including corrugated boxes, appropriately using the trash compactors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sweeps, mops, and empties the trash from the assigned warehouse and office areas of the facility.
- Maintains overall cleanliness of the facility by performing general housekeeping duties.
- Disposes of trash, including corrugated boxes, appropriately using the trash compactor.
- Reports any safety or hazardous problems to the supervisor or management, as appropriate.
- Daily operation of the corrugate baler and trash compactor including the banding of completed bales.
- May be involved with any special housekeeping projects as needed.
Experience/Education
Knowledge of and ability to perform custodial work.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Must be able to utilize time effectively in order to complete assigned tasks.
Physical Demands
- Lift, carry or move products up to 0-75 lb. frequently.
- Walk on concrete floors continuously.
- Gripping, pushing, pulling and fine hand manipulation continuously.
- Twist or bend torso frequently.
- Handling tools frequently (Utility Knife, Push Bin).
Conditions
- Continuous temperature-controlled building.
- May be exposed to dust occasionally.
- Work in a cold environment occasionally.
