The Vice President will lead the development and growth of the Wellstar Partner Network, an innovative partnership platform designed to connect hospitals, physicians, physician groups, urgent care organizations, and other healthcare providers to Wellstar's vibrant healthcare ecosystem while enabling those organizations to remain strong and successful in their own communities.
The Vice President will also provide enterprise leadership for Wellstar's business development, physician liaison and provider relations functions, creating a coordinated approach to strengthening relationships with employed, aligned, and independent physicians and providers. - Build a statewide partnership pipeline: Identify, prioritize, cultivate, and advance relationships with organizations that can benefit from affiliation with Wellstar while remaining locally governed and responsive to their communities.
- Develop flexible partnership models: Create a portfolio of partnership structures that allows organizations to access Wellstar's scale, specialists, technology, clinical programs, support services, and other capabilities at the level of integration that best meets their strategic and community needs.
- Serve as a senior relationship executive: Develop trusted relationships with hospital and health system executives, boards, physicians, community leaders, and other key stakeholders and serve as a primary point of connection between prospective partners and Wellstar.
- Lead enterprise business development strategy: Establish an integrated, data-driven approach to business development across Wellstar's hospitals, markets, service lines, clinical programs, and physician enterprise.
- Provide executive leadership for physician liaison and provider relations teams: Lead and develop field-based professionals responsible for building relationships across employed, aligned, and independent physicians and providers and increasing awareness, access, preference, and appropriate utilization of Wellstar services.
- Drive referral growth and provider preference: Develop targeted strategies to strengthen referral relationships, address barriers to access, improve provider experience, and increase preference for Wellstar hospitals, programs, services, and specialists.
- Create coordinated market and account strategies: Ensure that Wellstar approaches important physicians, practices, hospitals, and other organizations with a unified enterprise strategy rather than fragmented relationships across individual facilities, service lines, or departments.
- Use analytics to prioritize growth opportunities: Partner with strategy, finance, clinical and operational leaders to use referral patterns, market data, physician alignment information, capacity, access, and service-line performance to focus resources on the highest-value opportunities.
- Connect market intelligence to action: Establish mechanisms for field teams to identify and communicate physician needs, competitive activity, access issues, referral leakage, emerging market opportunities, and other insights to Wellstar leadership.
- Translate relationships into enterprise growth: Identify opportunities within partner organizations and markets to expand access to Wellstar specialists, tertiary and quaternary services, clinical programs, virtual capabilities, and other services while strengthening care that can appropriately remain in the local community.
- Facilitate enterprise solutions for partners: Convene the appropriate Wellstar clinical and functional leaders to develop solutions for partner needs, including clinical expertise, technology, digital capabilities, telehealth, workforce, education, operational support, and other enterprise services.
- Develop sustainable partnership economics: Work with finance, legal, strategy, operations, and other leaders to develop partnership models that create measurable strategic and financial value for both Wellstar and participating organizations.
- Establish performance measures and accountability: Develop dashboards and KPIs that measure Partner Network growth, partnership pipeline, referral growth, provider engagement, market penetration, program growth, partner value creation, and financial contribution.
- Advance Wellstar's broader strategic objectives: Ensure Partner Network and business development activities support Wellstar's enterprise strategy, including expanding access, strengthening regional healthcare infrastructure, growing key clinical programs, developing new markets, and improving the health of the communities Wellstar serves.
