Join our Distribution team, dedicated to ensuring customers receive the products they need to achieve their scientific goals quickly, reliably, and safely. Our Bridgewater, NJ site is ramping up to meet customer demand.
A Day in the Life
- Successfully ship out orders of the day in a timely, safe and productive manner
- Perform powered industrial truck pre-use safety inspection checklist
- Report malfunctioning powered industrial trucks and use lockout/tagout SOPs
- Direct, stage and place all material in or outside the building using proper material handling equipment
- Pick, prepare, package, document, label, and ship all material according to prescribed regulations using accurate dispatching equipment
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Preferred: Work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
- Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to read and write in English
- Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner
- Capable of operating powered industrial trucks; forklift operator experience is helpful
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required
